COD Beach Volleyball will send their 1's pairs team of Grace Abrams and Katie Alexander to the SoCal Regional Beach Volleyball Pairs Championship on May 5-6 at El Camino College in Torrance.

State Playoffs Ticket Prices are as follows: General Admission is $12. Faculty, Staff, Children Under 12, Adults 60+ & Students w/ Valid A.S. card are $8. There are no guest passes allowed.

The 1's team of freshman Grace Abrams (Fountain Hills (AZ) H.S.) and sophomore Katie Alexander (Yucca Valley H.S.) survived the grueling South Coast Conference Pairs Tournament at Long Beach City College on April 28-29 to grab the #13 seed.

The SoCal Regional Beach Volleyball Pairs Championship is a double elimination tournament which will take place on the campus of El Camino College in the Alondra Park neighborhood of the city of Torrance. Parking is free and it is suggested that you park in either Lot "F" or "H" (parking structure) next to the softball field and tennis courts. No staff or handicapable parking unless with appropriate placard. The series will also coincide with a major regional cool down, as South Bay temperatures are expected to be 64 on Friday and 66 on Saturday.

You may purchase your tickets at the gate and only cash will be accepted.

The Desert 1's will open up with the #20 seeded team from the Orange Coast Pirates, the 3's team of Lexy Mendoza and Jesse Coralle. The Mendoza / Coralle pairs finished 5th at the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Championships.

If the Roadrunners win in their first-round match-up they will face the winner of the #29 seeded pairs from Grossmont, Chelsee Trendler/Hannah Werner versus the OEC Pairs Champions and the Pirates 1's team, the #4 seeded Brisa Zapata-Reaves/Corinne Williams from Orange Coast. If the Roadrunners fall short in their first-round match-up they will face elimination in the Consolation Bracket, playing the losing pairs team in the Grossmont vs. Orange Coast match.

If Abrams and Alexander advance, they will then go to the 3C2A State Pairs Championships at West Valley College in Saratoga, southwest of San Jose, on May 12-13.
