College of the Desert place kicker, Luis Castellanos (Cathedral City H.S.) named Region IV All-California First Team Offense by the JC Athletic Bureau.

Under fourth-year head coach Jack Steptoe, Desert finished the regular season with a record 4-6 overall and 1-4 in conference. The team was bestowed with three first team All-Mountain Conference honors and two second team All-Mountain Conference honors.

COD Football freshman wide receiver Kerrion Ringo (Evansville (IN) F.J. Reitz) was awarded the Week Eight SCFA American Conference Mountain Division Co-Offensive Player of the Week award and the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference’s (PCAC) Honorable Mention Male Athlete of the Week for the week of October 23rd.

COD (4-3; 1-1) went up 17-0, but then a nearly hour long 2nd quarter doomed the Roadrunners momentum, as the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (4-3; 1-1) held onto the “Challenge Trophy” 35-33.

COD Football freshman running back Tony Williams (Indio Shadow Hills) was named the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference’s (PCAC) Honorable Mention Male Athlete of the Week for the week of October 16th.
COD Football rolls to 4th straight win, keeps Palm-to-Pines Trophy, 43-36

COD (4-2; 1-0) opened up American Conference-Mountain Division play with the 49th annual Palms-to-Pines Trophy game, traveling to Mt. San Jacinto (3-3; 0-1) and knocking off the Eagles, 43-36.
COD Football reverses the curse over the Vaqueros, 25-20

COD (3-2) rolled to their third straight win and defeated the Santa Barbara City Vaqueros (3-2) for the first time in program history as Tony Williams racked up 186 yards and the defense made a huge goal line stand at the end to give the Roadrunners the game, 25-20.

COD Football gets back on track with win over the Wildcats, 24-15

COD (1-2) played swarm defense as the Roadrunners grabbed six sacks and the offense found the end zone twice on the ground and once in the air as they won their first game of 2017, defeating the West LA Wildcats (0-3), 24-15.

COD (0-1) opened up the 2017 season at home and held the #16 team in the nation, the Mission Viejo Saddleback Gauchos (1-0) to a 13-0 lead at the half, but some key miscues lead to a home loss for the Roadrunners, 41-7.
