COD Football: Tomlinson signs letter with Grambling State

COD Football cornerback Kenyon Tomlinson (Cleveland (OH) John F. Kennedy) has signed a letter of intent with Grambling State University.

Tomlinson, from John F. Kennedy H.S. in Cleveland, Ohio, was also named Second team All-Mountain Conference finishing in the top 15 in the State in total tackles (43) and tackles per game (5.4). The 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore played in 8 of 10 games for the Roadrunners, with his best game being a 10 total tackles performance at home against Glendale on November 19.

Grambling State University is located in Grambling, Louisiana, which is about 40 miles south of the Louisiana-Arkansas state line and about 285 miles north of New Orleans. The GSU Tigers play at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium and the team is coached by head coach, Hue Jackson, in his 1st year with the Tigers. In the 2021 season, the Tigers concluded the year with a 4-7 overall record, with a 3-5 record in Conference play, finishing the season in a tie for 3rd place. GSU is in the Southwestern Athletic Conference – West Division of NCAA – Division I.
