COD (2-5) grabbed a much-needed win on the road, with three starters scoring in double figures which led to the first double-double of the season for Jermayn Baxter, as the Roadrunners held off the Golden West Rustlers of Huntington Beach (1-6), 82-73.

Leading the way for the Roadrunners was sophomore starting forward Jermayn Baxter (Indianapolis (IN) Decatur Central) who grabbed his first double-double of the season, scoring 23 points on 10 of 20 shooting, grabbing 10 total rebounds, 7 defensive, with 3 steals and tying the team lead with 2 blocked shots in the win. Sophomore starting guard Luke Mathis (Redlands East Valley) had his second-best scoring night of the season, adding 17 points on 5 of 9 shooting. Freshman starting guard Daniel Davis (Phoenix (AZ) Skyline Prep) had a season best 7 assists to add to his 12 points on 4 of 7 shooting. Freshman starting guard Jamerson McClendon (Indio H.S.) had his second-best total rebounds night with 9 and tied his season best in blocked shots with 2. Freshman starting center Sedrick Johnson (Phoenix (AZ) Skyline Prep) had a season best 3 steals to lead the team. Sophomore guard Isaiah Goad (Palm Springs H.S.) contributed 9 points off of the bench, on a perfect 4 of 4 shooting and freshman guard Davion Johnson (Perris Orange Vista) tied his season best in assists with 3.

The Roadrunners next game will be on the road as they face the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors on Monday, November 27 at 5p and the next home game for Desert will be on Wednesday, December 20 at 7p as the Roadrunners open up Inland Empire Athletic Conference play against the Palo Verde Pirates of Blythe.
