COD Men’s Golf finishes 2nd at Victorville, Kallmann claims 1st place

COD Men's Golf participated in their fifth event of the 2022 season, beginning Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play, as Palm Desert H.S. alumnus Jeremy Kallmann shot a 2-under 70, finishing 1st individually and three other Roadrunners finished with their second best rounds of 2022.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its fifth event, which was hosted at the par-72, Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville. Desert would finish with 381 points, 9 strokes ahead of the Mt. San Antonio Mounties of Walnut. Riverside City would win with 370 points.

Three Aztecs alums would be atop the leaderboard for the Roadrunners in Victorville as freshman Jeremy Kallmann (Palm Desert H.S.) would lead the way for the Roadrunners, shooting his best score of 2022, 2-under par 70 and sophomore John Kim, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) would tie his second best score of the season with a 1-over 73.

Freshman Ryln Hadley, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) would also shoot his second best score of the season, a 3-over 75 and freshman Hugo Barbin (Montpellier (FR) Association Internationale des Ministères de Guérison) would shoot his third best score of 2022, a 7-over 79.

Freshman Brandon LaFond (Indio Shadow Hills) would shoot his second best of the season as well, shooting an 84 and freshman Ryuki Torii (Matsuyama (JPN) Nitta Seiun Secondary Education) wrapped up the day with an 86.

COD will make their next appearance at Mission Hills North (Gary Player Course) in Rancho Mirage as the Roadrunners will continue Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play on Monday, March 14.
