COD Men’s Golf finishes 1st at San Jacinto, Kim claims 1st place

COD Men's Golf participated in their eighth event of the 2022 season and fourth event in Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play, as Palm Desert H.S. alumnus John Kim, Jr. shot an even par 72, finishing 1st individually and two other Roadrunners finished with their second best rounds of 2022.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its eighth event, which was hosted at the par-72, The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto. Desert would finish with 389 points, a stroke ahead of the Mt. San Antonio Mounties of Walnut.

Two Aztecs alums would be atop the leaderboard for the Roadrunners in San Jacinto as sophomore John Kim, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) would lead the way for the Roadrunners, tying his second best score of 2022, an even par 72 and freshman Jeremy Kallmann (Palm Desert H.S.) would also tie his second best score of 2022, 3-over 75.

Freshman Ryuki Torii (Matsuyama (JPN) Nitta Seiun Secondary Education) would shoot his fourth best score of the season, a 6-over 78 and freshman Ryln Hadley, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) would shot a 9-over 81

Sophomore Cameron Winslow (Palm Desert H.S.) shot an 83 and freshman Chandler Barch (Melissa, TX) wrapped up the day with an 84.

COD will make their next appearance at Temecula Creek Golf Course in Temecula as the Roadrunners will continue Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play on Wednesday, March 30.
