COD Men’s Golf finishes 3rd at Riverside, Kim claims 1st place

COD Men's Golf participated in their tenth event of the 2022 season and sixth event in Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play, as Palm Desert H.S. alumnus John Kim, Jr. shot a 2-under par 70, finishing 1st individually and four Roadrunners finished with their second-best rounds of 2022.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its tenth event, which was hosted at the par-72, Victoria Country Club in Riverside. Desert would finish with 376 points, 26 strokes ahead of the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles.

Two Aztecs alums would be atop the leaderboard for the Roadrunners in Riverside as sophomore John Kim, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) would lead the way for the Roadrunners, tying his second-best score of 2022, a 2-under par 70 and freshman Jeremy Kallmann (Palm Desert H.S.) would also tie his second-best score of 2022, 3-over 75.

Freshman Ryuki Torii (Matsuyama (JPN) Nitta Seiun Secondary Education) would shoot his second-best score of the season, a 4-over 76 and freshman Ryln Hadley, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) would shot a 5-over 77.

Freshman Hugo Barbin (Montpellier (FR) Association Internationale des Ministères de Guérison) shot his second-best round of the year with a 6-over 78 and sophomore Cameron Winslow (Palm Desert H.S.) wrapped up the day with an 82.

COD will make their next appearance at Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas as the Roadrunners will continue Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play on Wednesday, April 20.
