COD Men’s Golf finishes 3rd at San Dimas

COD Men's Golf participated in their eleventh event of the 2022 season and seventh event in Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play, as a pair of Roadrunners finished with their second-best rounds of 2022.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its eleventh event, which was hosted at the par-72, Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas. Desert would finish with 394 points, 24 strokes ahead of the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles.

Leading the way for the Roadrunners was freshman Ryuki Torii (Matsuyama (JPN) Nitta Seiun Secondary Education), grabbing his second-best score of the season, with a 3-over 75 and followed closely behind by sophomore John Kim, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.), who shot a 4-over 76.

Freshman Ryln Hadley, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) would shoot a 6-over 78 and freshman Jeremy Kallmann (Palm Desert H.S.) would shoot a 9-over 81.

Freshman Brandon LaFond (Indio Shadow Hills) shot his second-best round of the year with an 84 and freshman Tyler Cunningham-Watson (Palm Desert H.S.) wrapped up the day tying his best round of the season, an 86.

COD will make their next appearance at Temecula Creek Golf Course in Temecula as the Roadrunners will conclude Orange Empire Conference play on Monday, April 25.
