COD Men's Golf participated in the SoCal Regional Final, sending a pair of Palm Desert H.S. alums, Tyler Cunningham-Watson and Jeremy Kallmann, to the CCCAA State Final in San Jacinto on May 16.

The Roadrunners sent seven participants to the SoCal Regional Final, which was hosted at the par-72, Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura. The event was a 36-hole tournament, the top four teams would qualify for the State Final as a team, Desert would finish fifth, just four strokes back of a spot in the State Title Tournament.

Leading the way for the Roadrunners was freshman Jeremy Kallmann (Palm Desert H.S.) grabbed his second-best round of 2022, shooting a 1-under par 71 in the first round, then shot a 4-over 76 in the second round.

Freshman Tyler Cunningham-Watson (Palm Desert H.S.) shot his second-best score of the season in the first round, a 3-over 75, then shot a season best 1-over 73 in the second round.

On Monday, Torii shot a 3-over 75 in the first round and a 5-over 77 in the second round.
