COD Men's Golf wrapped up Conference play as Roadrunners in their seventh Conference event of the season, with Ivan Sablan shooting a 3-under and a 1st place individual finish for the event.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to the eleventh event of the 2023 season, seventh event in Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play, which was hosted at the El Prado Golf Course (Butterfield Stage Course) in Chino. Desert would finish with 364 points, putting them in 1st place, 14-strokes ahead of the host Mt. San Antonio Mounties.

Sophomore Ivan Sablan (Chalan-Pago-Ordot (Guam) Father Dueñas Memorial) tied his season low, shooting an impressive 3-under, 69 to lead the way for the Roadrunners and taking the event individual title. Sablan also shot a 69 at Victoria CC in Riverside on April 3. Sophomore Willis Panzarello (Palm Desert H.S.) tied second-lowest score of the season, his 1-under 71 was the third time Panzarello has shot that score this season. Freshman Yuo Torii (Montverde (FL) Academy) shot a 2-over 74 and freshman Se Min Song (Haeundae-gu (KOR) Changwon Nam) played in his first match since February 27, shooting a season low 2-over 74. Sophomore Jeremy Kallmann (Palm Desert H.S.) shot a 4-over 76 and sophomore Hayato Ito (Yachiyo (JPN) Shoin) played in his first match since February 7, shooting a season low 7-over 79 to wrap up the afternoon for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance at Los Seranos Golf Course – North Course in Chino Hills on Sunday, April 23 at 7a as they participate in the Orange Empire Conference Championships.
