COD Men’s Golf hitting their stride, wins again

COD Men's Golf squeaked by for their third event win in the last four events, with two players collecting season lows and two more grabbing second-best season scores.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to eleventh event of the 2024 season, fifth event in Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play, which was hosted at the historic Victoria Country Club in Riverside. Desert would finish with 373 points, putting them in 1st place, 8-strokes ahead of the Mt. San Antonio Mounties.

Sophomore Ryln Hadley, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) and freshman Jacob Stacey (Twentynine Palms H.S.) both shot season lows, shooting an even par 72 on the day. Sophomore Yuo Torii (Montverde (FL) Montverde Academy) grabbed his second-best score of the season, shooting a 1-over 73. Sophomore Se Min Song (Haeundae-gu (KOR) Changwon Nam) tied his second-best score of the season, shooting a 4-over 76 and sophomore Tyler Cunningham-Watson (Palm Desert H.S.) shot an 8-over 80. Freshman Sanford Jones (Yucca Valley H.S.) wrapped up the afternoon for the Roadrunners shooting a 107.

COD will make their next appearance at El Prado Golf Course - Chino Creek Course in Chino on Monday, April 8 at 10a as they continue Orange Empire Conference - Inland Division play.
