COD Men's Tennis goes on the road and shoots down Eagles, 5-3

COD (3-0; 3-0) continued their dominance of Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) teams by grabbing their 56th consecutive Conference win, going on the road and defeating the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (3-5; 2-2), 5-3.

In doubles play, the 1's team of sophomore Gerardo Dominguez (Thermal Coachella Valley) and sophomore Ian Rabtsevich (Minsk (BLR) Gymnasium 30) won easily, 8-1. The 2's team of sophomore Ethan Auger (Ottawa (ON) Nepean) and freshman Travis Pimentel (Indio Shadow Hills) took down the Eagles in a closer match, 8-4. Desert did not have a sixth available, so the Eagles won the third doubles match in a walkover.

In singles play, Rabtsevich and Pimentel each won their matches easily and in a hard-fought match, Auger won, 6-4 and 6-3. Freshman Nathaniel Jimenez (Beaumont H.S.) and Dominguez lost their matches in straight sets.
