COD freshman Amelio Chio participated in the final regional event of the 2021 season at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley for the CCCAA SoCal Regional Championship, where he finished in 52nd place on the 4-mile course.

Grabbing his best time of the season and the top spot for Desert in Fountain Valley was Chio from Cathedral City H.S., collecting 52nd place with a time of 21:31.0.

The next event for Amelio is at the CCCAA State Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno on November 20th at 10 a.m.
