COD freshman Amelio Chio participated in the final event of the 2021 season at Woodward Park in Fresno for the CCCAA State Championships, where he finished in 63rd place on the 4-mile course.

Grabbing his 2nd best time of the season and the top spot for Desert in Fresno was Chio from Cathedral City H.S., collecting 63rd place with a time of 21:33.7.
