COD Men’s Cross Country opens 2022 season at Panthers Invite

COD had three runners participate in the first event of the 2022 season at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga for the Panthers Cross Country Invitational, where Desert participants finished in 22nd, 39th and 41st place on the 4-mile course.

Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Rancho Cucamonga was freshman Jonathan De Leon (La Quinta H.S.), collecting 22nd place with a time of 25:06.9.

Also finishing for the Roadrunners was freshman Julian Salazar (La Quinta H.S.), collecting 39th place with a time of 28:46.0.

Freshman Steven Johnson (Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills), who finished 41st, collecting a time of 29:47.9.

The next event for Desert is at the Mt. SAC Invitational at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut on October 14th at 10 a.m.
