COD had two runners participate in the second event of the season at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut for the Mt. SAC Invitational, where Desert participants finished in 90th and 114th place on the 4-mile course.

Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Walnut was freshman Jonathan De Leon (La Quinta H.S.), collecting 90th place with a time of 25:37.2.

Also finishing for the Roadrunners was freshman Julian Salazar (La Quinta H.S.), collecting 114th place with a time of 29:26.1.

The next event for Desert is at the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championship at Norco College in Norco on October 28th at 10 a.m.
