COD Men's Cross Country finishes 15th in Mt. SAC Invitational

Desert entered their 5th event of the 2023 season, the Mt. SAC Invitational where the team finished 15th at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, where Desert finished 15th with a team time of 3:00:57 on the 4-mile course.

The Roadrunners finished with 406 points and crossing the line first for COD was sophomore Emmanuel Lule (La Quinta H.S.) in 32nd place with a time of 23:54.7. Nine minutes behind him was freshman Gabriel Hernandez (Indio Shadow Hills) crossing the line in 90th place with a time of 33:47.9 and freshman Anthony Perdomo (La Quinta H.S.) finished the race in 93rd place with a time of 36:34.4. Sophomore Matthew Cuanetl (Rancho Mirage H.S.) finished the race in 95th place with a time of 40:32.6 and freshman Daniel Burkett (Bermuda Dunes Desert Christian Academy) wrapped up the morning for the Roadrunners, finishing in 96th place with his second-best time of the season, crossing the line with a time of 46:07.6.

The next event for Desert is at the IEAC Championship at Morley Field at Balboa Park in San Diego on October 20th at 10:30 a.m.
