COD Women’s Golf: Urbankova signs letter with UI Chicago

COD Women's Golfer, Dagmar Urbankova, has signed a letter of intent with the University of Illinois Chicago.

Urbankova, who graduated from Matyas Lerch Grammar School in Brno, Czech Republic, played the 2018 season for the Roadrunners, helping to lead Desert to an incredible second place finish at the 2018 CCCAA State Championship in Morro Bay.

At the end of the 2018 season, Urbankova signed her letter of intent with the Menlo College Oaks. She would spend her sophomore, junior and COVID senior seasons with the Oaks, collecting numerous team, school and Conference awards.

Urbankova, who prefers her nickname of "Dasa" pronounced "Da-SH-ah" and with one more season of eligibility available to her, has decided to take her talents to "The Windy City."

University of Illinois Chicago is located in the "Near West Side" community area in the city of Chicago. The UIC Flames are coached by head coach, Mat Blair, in his 5th season with the Flames. In the 2021 season, the Flames finished the season in 7th place at the Conference Final. UIC will be moving into the Missouri Valley Conference of NCAA – Division I beginning with the 2022-23 season.
