COD Women’s Golf snags 3rd place at 2nd OEC event, Preece finishes 9th

COD Women's Golf finished 3rd as one golfer set their season best and sophomore Demi Preece (Imperial H.S.) led the way with an 82.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its fourth event. Desert traveled to their second Orange Empire Conference (OEC) event of the season, this time the event was at the par-72, The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto. Desert would finish with 358 points, which was 22 strokes ahead of fourth place finisher and host, Mt. San Jacinto. Saddleback would win the event with 324 points.

Preece led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting an 82 and freshman Jensen Kelly (Imperial (SK) Imperial School) shot her best score of the season, shooting an 83. Freshman Karla Garcia (Palm Desert H.S.) shot a 94 and freshman Sam Miller (Valley Center H.S.) shot her second-best score of the season, shooting a 99. COD will make their next appearance at Costa Mesa Country Club - Mesa Linda Course in Costa Mesa on Monday, October 26 as they continue OEC play.
