COD Women’s Golf plays in 3rd OEC event, Preece finishes 3rd

COD Women's Golf finished 5th as two golfers set their season best with sophomore Demi Preece (Imperial H.S.) leading the way by tying her season best with a 76.

The Roadrunners sent five participants to its fifth event. Desert traveled to their third Orange Empire Conference (OEC) event of the season, this time the event was at the par-70, Costa Mesa Country Club (Mesa Linda Course) in Costa Mesa. Desert would finish with 360 points, which was 14 strokes ahead of sixth place finisher, Mt. San Antonio. Saddleback would win the event with 321 points.

Preece led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting a 6-over, 76, tying a season best and freshman Jensen Kelly (Imperial (SK) Imperial School) tied her second-best score of the season, shooting an 88. Freshman Sam Miller (Valley Center H.S.) also shot her second-best score of the season, shooting a 96 and freshman Daneah Jackson (Cathedral City H.S.) shot her season best 100. COD will make their next appearance at El Prado Golf Club - Chino Creek Course in Chino on Wednesday, September 28 as they continue OEC play.
