COD Women’s Golf snags 3rd place at 7th OEC event, Kelly finishes 6th

COD Women's Golf finished 3rd as freshman Jensen Kelly (Imperial (SK) Imperial School) set her season best, leading the way with an 81.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its tenth event. Desert traveled to their seventh Orange Empire Conference (OEC) event of the season, this time the event was at the par-67, Fullerton Golf Course in Fullerton. Desert would finish with 364 points, which was 27 strokes ahead of fourth place finisher, Mt. San Jacinto. Saddleback would win the event with 326 points.

Kelly led the way for the Roadrunners, shooting an 81 and sophomore Demi Preece (Imperial H.S.) shot an 89. Sophomore Yvonne Pretorius (La Quinta H.S.) and freshman Karla Garcia (Palm Desert H.S.) both shot a 97. COD will make their next appearance at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Club in Irvine on Wednesday, October 19 as they continue OEC play.
