COD Women’s Soccer: Lopez signs letter with UAV

COD Women's Soccer defender and midfielder Narali Lopez (Cathedral City H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with University of Antelope Valley.

Lopez, from Cathedral City H.S., finished her sophomore season with five goals, including a game winner, she played in 18 of 20 games, starting 8 of them for the Roadrunners in 2022. During her freshman campaign, Lopez would score once, where she played in 11 of 20 games, starting 1 of them for Desert.

"My time here at COD was amazing and I am very grateful for my various athletic and academic experiences here at COD." commented Lopez. "I chose Antelope Valley because I saw that the Athletic community was very great. The team and the coaches were very helpful with me and I am so glad that I am going to be part of the University of Antelope Valley."

University of Antelope Valley is located in Lancaster, California, which is about 140 miles northeast of College of the Desert and about 60 miles north of Los Angeles. The UAV Pioneers play at the Lancaster National Soccer Center and the team is coached by head coach, Diego Cocon, in his 3rd year with the Pioneers. In the 2022 season, the Pioneers concluded the year with a 3-12-1 overall record, with a 3-8-1 record in Conference play, finishing the season in 11th place. UAV is in the California Pacific Conference of NAIA.
