Navarro, from Coachella Valley H.S. in Thermal, was finished her sophomore season starting 12 of the 17 games she played in for the Roadrunners in 2022. During her freshman campaign, Navarro played in 15 of 21 games, starting in 4 of them for Desert. She will join former Roadrunners teammates, forward Yisel Ybarra (Thermal Desert Mirage) and Monserrath Bedolla Guzman (Thermal Coachella Valley), who signed with Simpson earlier in 2023.

"I'm really grateful for my time here at COD, I felt like I do a lot as a player, as a person, as a student I learned a lot and I'm very grateful for the opportunities that College of the Desert has shown me and all the lessons that it's provided me with," commented Navarro. "It's been very fun being with friends, with loved ones and just playing here. The soccer program has been amazing to me and ultimately opened this opportunity for me to keep playing at the next level and I am extremely grateful."

Later, Navarro explained why she chose Simpson, "I chose Simpson University because it's a Christian College, which goes with my beliefs and I feel that it has all the tools necessary for me to grow and continue my journey as a soccer player, as a student athlete."

Simpson University is located in Redding, California, which is about 120 miles south of the California-Oregon border and about 220 miles north of San Francisco. The Simpson Red Hawks play at Simpson Soccer Field and the team is coached by head coach, Milton Carrera, in his 5th year with the Red Hawks. In the 2022 season, the Red Hawks concluded the year with a 6-7-5 overall record, with a 4-5-3 record in Conference play, finishing the season in 8th place. Simpson is in the California Pacific Conference of NAIA.
