Men's Basketball Clinches Program's First Home Playoff Game

On February 21, 2015 the College of the Desert men's basketball team defeated Foothill Conference foe, Rio Hondo, 94-89, which earned the program its first home playoff game.

Jordan Pellum was stellar on offense for the Roadrunners, scoring 27 points on 11-19 (58 percent) shooting.  Anthony Kellum added 17 points, while Kevin Smith scored 16 coming off the bench.  Mark Johnson secured a double-double in the victory, with 11 points and 16 rebounds.

The win gave COD an even 5-5 record in Foothill Conference action, which was enough to earn them a first-round home playoff game against Rio Hondo in the Southern California Regional.  Despite another strong performance from Peullum-- he scored 26 points and added three assists-- the Roadrunners were defeated by Rio Hondo, 85-78.
