Director Blank holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from California Baptist University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Chapman University. Her academic and professional journey has uniquely positioned her to bridge the gap between athletic performance, student wellness, and academic achievement.
Before joining College of the Desert, Director Blank served as Student Services Success Coordinator for Athletics at Norco College, where she was instrumental in implementing and overseeing all athletic programs. She also managed compliance education, developed marketing and promotional strategies to elevate program visibility, and collaborated across campus to expand support services for athletes.
Director Blank spearheaded several groundbreaking initiatives at Norco College, including the creation of a satellite food pantry for student-athletes, mental health workshops, and the launch of the college’s first-ever Student-Athlete Advisory Council. By fostering collaboration with Basic Needs, Health Services, and Academic Affairs, she built a model of holistic support that empowered student-athletes academically, physically, and personally.
Certified as an Athletic Trainer, Director Blank brings extensive clinical experience in injury prevention, emergency response, and rehabilitation. She has worked with athletes across a range of sports—including soccer, rugby, and cross country—implementing evidence-based protocols for concussion management, extreme heat safety, and overall athlete wellness. Beyond her administrative and clinical expertise, she has also served as a college instructor, teaching athletic training courses and inspiring the next generation of sports medicine professionals.
As Director of Kinesiology and Athletics at College of the Desert, Kaytlyn continues to lead with strategic vision, innovation, and a student-centered philosophy. Her commitment to program excellence, equity in athletics, and the holistic development of student-athletes makes her a driving force in shaping the future of Roadrunner Athletics.
