Matthew Harding
Safeties Coach
Coach Matthew Harding brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the program. A three-sport athlete at San Dimas High School, Harding earned varsity letters in football, soccer, and track before continuing his athletic career at the University of Hawai‘i on a football scholarship. During his time with the Rainbow Warriors, he was a four-year letterman, a member of the 1992 Western Athletic Conference Championship team, and part of the squad that captured the 1992 Holiday Bowl Championship. He graduated with a degree in American Studies.
In addition to his role on the field, Harding is a dedicated educator at the high school level, where he works daily to mentor and inspire student-athletes both academically and athletically. His coaching philosophy is grounded in the timeless wisdom of John Wooden: “Don’t let what you can’t do interfere with what you can do.”
Away from football, Harding enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Whether traveling together in the off-season or supporting his kids’ activities, family remains at the heart of his life.
