COD Women’s Golf: Urquidez Records Best Round of the Season at Ironwood

The College of the Desert Women's Golf team had three competitors take the course at Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert for the second Orange Empire Conference event of the 2025 season. Facing a challenging par-72 layout, the Roadrunner trio posted consistent results, finishing 14th, 17th, and 18th overall.

Leading the way for COD was freshman Daisy Castro (La Quinta H.S.), who earned a 14th-place finish with a score of 92.

Right behind her was sophomore Myah Urquidez (Banning H.S.), carding a season-best 100 to place 17th.

Freshman Jiiana Cordova (Rancho Mirage H.S.) rounded out the Roadrunner lineup, posting a 101 to take 18th place.

The Roadrunners will return to action on Wednesday, October 1 at 11 a.m., when they travel to Cottonwood Golf Course in Rancho San Diego for the next stop on the conference schedule.
