Under first-year head coach Manuel Hurtado, the Roadrunners finished the regular season with a 7–7–5 overall record and 4–3–3 in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC), earning fourth place and the final postseason berth.
COD's 2025 campaign featured several key achievements:
• Eight clean sheets, including a strong 5–1–3 stretch between Sept. 23 and Oct. 28
• A historic first win over Pasadena City College
• First-ever matchups against Orange Coast College and the first meeting with West LA College in a decade
• Only the program's second postseason appearance
The Opponent: Chaffey Panthers
COD and Chaffey are long-standing Conference rivals, having competed in the same Conference nearly every season since 2002. However, this will be the first playoff meeting between the two programs.
Chaffey enters the postseason with a 9–5–4 overall record, finishing as IEAC Champions at 6–2–2. The Panthers opened the year 6–3–1 but have recorded just one win over their past six contests. Chaffey is led by head coach Daniel Fox, now in his second season.
Historically, Chaffey holds a 34-0-3 advantage in the all-time series.
Looking Ahead
The winner of Wednesday's match will advance to the Regional Quarterfinals on Saturday, November 22, traveling to face No. 8 Orange Coast College. The Regional Semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, with the SoCal Regional Championship set for Saturday, November 29.
Four consecutive victories are required to reach the CCCAA State Championship, which will be held on December 5 & 7 at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo.
