Softball Clinches Fourth Straight Foothill Crown

On April 15, 2015 the College of the Desert softball team clinched a share of the Foothill Conference championship when they defeated visiting Chaffey, 9-0 (5 inn.).

Ali Tuller and Amanda Benezra each drove in two runs, while Kodie Sturm, Sarrah Bolding and Linda Ontiveros each drove in one.  Sturm, Tuller and Ontiveros each collected two hits, including a triple off the bat of Tuller.

Myranda Libunao (9-6) earned the win on the mound for the Lady Roadrunners, pitching four shutout innings of one-hit ball.  She struck out five and did not issue a walk.  

For their season performances, Kiana Holder. Kendra Mendoza, Lauren Ortiz and Bolding were named First-Team All-Conference in the Foothill.  Libunao was also named 3CFCA All-State.

COD finished their season at 12-3 in the Foothill Conference, splitting the crown with San Bernardino and Rio Hondo.
