"Signing with Corban is a dream come true," Alexander shared. "I'm ready to work hard, grow as an athlete, and help contribute to a program that's already doing big things on the national stage."
Dominant at the Net
Alexander was a two-year anchor for the Roadrunners in indoor and on the sand. In indoor, she earned First Team All-IEAC honors as a freshman and Honorable Mention as a sophomore, despite tough conference competition. She started 22 of 23 matches in her final season and led the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) in solo blocks (16) and total blocks (54). She also finished second in assisted blocks (38), showcasing her dominance at the net.
Her best performance of the 2024 season came against Chaffey on October 9, where she posted 7 kills, 8 digs, and 3 assisted blocks.
On the sand, her and her 1's partner, Bella Branconier, were named Honorable Mention All-South Coast Conference.
"I'm incredibly thankful for my time at College of the Desert and all the coaches and teammates who pushed me to be better every day," Alexander added.
Impressive from Day One
Alexander's impact was immediate as a freshman, leading the conference in solo blocks (13), total blocks (33), and blocks per set (.82), a rare feat for a first-year player. She also ranked third in block assists (20), capping a breakout year that earned her a spot as the only middle blocker named First Team All-IEAC in 2023.
She set personal season highs with 22 kills against Victor Valley and a staggering .600 hitting percentage against Copper Mountain. Her standout performance earned her COD Athlete of the Month honors in November.
Coach's Praise
"Stacie is one of the most consistent and disciplined players we've had in the program," said Roadrunners head coach Detlev Rothe. "Her impact at the net speaks for itself, but it's her work ethic and leadership that will carry her far at Corban. We're proud of her and excited to see what she does next."
