Under veteran head coach Jack Steptoe, in his 10th season with the Roadrunners, Desert finished the regular season with a record 2-8 overall and 2-3 in conference. The Roadrunners placed 5th in the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) American Division - Metro League.
COD Football uses two Pick-6’s to grab 1st win over Dons, 34-7

COD (2-8; 2-3) had a “Pick-6” to open the game and another in the 2nd quarter, as the Roadrunners knocked off Santa Ana for the 1st time in program history, defeating the Dons (7-3; 3-2), 34-7.
COD Football falls short in Homecoming loss to Rams, 27-26

COD (1-7; 1-2) moved the ball well on offense, but nearly 120 yards in penalties paired with 3 interceptions and short field opportunities for the visitors proved overwhelming for the defense, as the Roadrunners fell to the Victor Valley Rams of Victorville (3-5; 3-0), 27-26.

COD (1-5; 1-0) used a strong running game and a dominating defense, the Roadrunners grabbed their first win of the season, knocking off the winless Compton Tartars (0-5; 0-1), 28-8.

COD (0-2) dropped a heartbreaker in their 2024 home opener, two long touchdown runs called back on holding penalties and a fumbled punt return proved to be too much, falling to the Los Angeles Pierce Brahmas of Woodland Hills (2-2), 35-29.
