COD Men’s Basketball wraps up 2024 season with double OT win over Rams, 120-115

COD (12-16; 7-9) closed out the 2024 season with multiple players either setting or tying career highs on Sophomore Night, as the Roadrunners grabbed a double overtime win over the Victor Valley Rams of Victorville (7-21; 2-14), 120-115.

Sophomore starting guard Isaiah Goad (Palm Springs H.S.) led the way for the Roadrunners with a career-high 37 points on 14 of 26 shooting, including going 8 for 10 from the free throw line, adding 9 total rebounds and 6 assists. Freshman guard Jamerson McClendon (Indio H.S.) leapt off the bench to grab a career high 26 points, on 10 of 17 shooting, collecting his 4th double-double of the season, 14 boards, 8 offensive and tied a career high by dishing out 8 assists. Sophomore starting guard Joseph Rojas (Palm Desert H.S.) tied a career high with seven three-point shots, scoring 24 points on 8 of 20 shooting, while handing out 6 assists. Sophomore starting forward Trevon Batts (Las Vegas (NV) Chaparral) collected his first triple double of his Desert career scoring 14 points on 7 of 12 shooting, grabbing 17 total boards, 12 defensive and dishing out 10 assists. Freshman center Sedrick Johnson (Phoenix (AZ) Skyline Prep) grabbed his third double-double of the season, scoring 12 points off of the bench on 6 of 13 shooting and snagging 11 boards, 6 offensive in the win.
