COD Men’s Cross Country sends 4 to Cuyamaca Kickoff

COD had four runners participate in their first event of the 2024 season at Harry Griffin Park in La Mesa for the Cuyamaca Cross Country Kickoff, where Desert participants finished in 25th, 27th, 35nd and 48th place on the 5-kilometer.
Grabbing the top spot for Desert in La Mesa was freshman Rey Morales (Desert Hot Springs H.S.), collecting a 25th place finish with a time of 18:01. Freshman Pierre Cuamani (Cathedral City H.S.) grabbed 27th place with a time of 18:09. Freshman Aaron Perez came in 35th with a time of 19:48. Freshman Frank Meadows (Long Beach (MS) H.S.) wrapped up the morning for the Roadrunners, finishing in 48th place with a time of 22:49.
The next event for Desert is at the Coyote Challenge at Cal State University, San Bernardino on September 7th at 10:30 a.m.
