COD Men's Cross Country finishes 13th in Mt. SAC Invitational

Desert entered their 4th event of the 2024 season, the Mt. SAC Invitational where the team finished 13th at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, where Desert had finishers in 76th, 83rd, 118th, 138th and 139th place on the 4-mile course.
The Roadrunners competed in their first event as a team in 2024 and finished with 333 points, 26 points shy of their nearest opponent, the Santa Ana Dons. The host Mt. San Antonio Mounties would win the event with 25 points. Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Walnut was freshman Rey Morales (Desert Hot Springs H.S.), collecting a 49th place finish with a time of 24:25.5. Freshman Pierre Cuamani (Cathedral City H.S.) grabbed 54th place with a time of 24:43.4. Freshman Aaron Perez came in 71st with a time of 27:59.0 and freshman Conner Crowe (Palm Desert H.S.) grabbed his fastest time of the season, crossing the line with a time of 31:49.9, finishing 79th. Freshman Frank Meadows (Long Beach (MS) H.S.) wrapped up the morning for the Roadrunners, finishing in 80th place with a time of 31:58.0.
The next event for Desert is at the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championship at Victor Valley College in Victorville on October 25th at 10 a.m.
