COD Men's Cross Country finishes 4th at Conference Championships, on to SoCal Regionals

The Roadrunners had two runners with season best times on a 4-mile course and with the 4th place finish, the Roadrunners qualified for the SoCal Regionals on Friday, November 8th at 10a at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.
Desert entered their 5th and final regular season event of the 2024 season, the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) Championships where the team finished 4th at Victor Valley College in Victorville, where Desert had finishers in 12th, 17th, 24th, 28th and 29th place on the 4-mile course.
Desert competed in only their second event as a team in 2024 and finished with 110 points, 35 points shy of their nearest opponent, the event host, Victor Valley Rams. The San Bernardino Valley Wolverines would win the event with 19 points. Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Victorville was freshman Pierre Cuamani (Cathedral City H.S.), dropping 51 seconds from his previous best to run his fastest time of the season and collecting a 16th place finish with a time of 23:14.8. Freshman Rey Morales (Desert Hot Springs H.S.) grabbed 24th place with a time of 24:32.4. Freshman Aaron Perez came in 33rd with a time of 26:09.5. Freshman Frank Meadows (Long Beach (MS) H.S.) dropped 22 seconds from his previous season best to run his fastest time of the season, finishing 40th with a time of 30:22.6. Freshman Conner Crowe (Palm Desert H.S.) wrapped up the morning for the Roadrunners, finishing in 41st place with a time of 32:04.4.
