COD Women’s Golf participates in 1st event of 2024

COD had two golfers participate in the first event of the 2024 season at The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto to kick off the Orange Empire Conference schedule, where the Desert participants finished in 14th and 23rd place on the par 72 course.

Grabbing the top spot for Desert in San Jacinto was sophomore Kayla Speer (Yucaipa H.S.), collecting a two-way tie for 14th place. Shooting a 44 on the front nine and a 45 on the back for a total of 89.

Finishing 23rd was freshman Myah Urquidez (Banning H.S.), shooting a 57 on the front nine and a 56 on the back for a total of 113.

The next event for Desert is at the Los Serranos Country Club - North Course in Chino Hills on Monday, September 16th at 9 a.m.
