COD Women’s Golf shoots lowest scores of season

COD had two golfers participate in the fifth event of the 2024 season at El Prado Golf Course - Chino Creek Course in Chino in the fifth event on the Orange Empire Conference schedule, where the Desert participants finished in 10th and 22nd place on the par 72 course.
Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Chino was sophomore Kayla Speer (Yucaipa H.S.), collecting a two-way tie for 10th place. Shooting five-strokes better than her previous season low, collecting an 82.
Finishing 22nd was freshman Myah Urquidez (Banning H.S.), shooting ten-strokes better than her previous season low, collecting a 97.
The next event for Desert will be over 300 miles north at the Central California venue, Monarch Dunes Golf Course in Nipomo, for the North-South Invitational on Monday, October 7th at 9 a.m.
