COD Women's Golf: Speer and Urquidez qualify for SoCal Regionals

COD Women's Golf finished 11th and 21st, qualifying both Roadrunners for the SoCal Regional tournament on November 10.

COD had two golfers participate in the tenth and final regular season event of the 2024 season, the two-day event took place at Costa Mesa Country Club - Mesa Linda Course in Costa Mesa in the Orange Empire Conference finals.

Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Costa Mesa was sophomore Kayla Speer (Yucaipa H.S.), shot an 84 in day one and then tied a previous season low, by collecting an 81 in round two for a total of 165, placing her tied for 11th.

Finishing 21st was freshman Myah Urquidez (Banning H.S.), who shot a 102 on day one of the Conference Finals and a 105 on day two, for a total of 207, placing 21st.

The next event for Desert will be at Los Serranos Country Club - North Course in Chino Hills, as the Roadrunners participate in the 1st round of the SoCal Regional Final on Sunday, November 10th at 8:30 a.m.
