COD had two runners participate in the fourth event of the 2024 season at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut for the Mt. SAC Invite, where Desert had finishers in 48th and 61st place on the 3-mile course.

Grabbing the top spot for Desert in La Mesa was freshman Ana Lezama (La Quinta H.S.), collecting 48th place and besting her fastest course time by 15 seconds, crossing the finish line with a 23:49.7. Finishing 61st was freshman Lia Limon (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) with a time of 26:56.0.

The next event for Desert is at the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championship at Victor Valley College in Victorville on October 25th at 10 a.m.
