Baseball Sees Four-Game Win Streak Snapped in 10-4 Loss to Chaffey

PALM DESERT, Calif. -- College of the Desert baseball (10-16, 8-8) surrendered eight runs in the game's final three innings, en route to having their four-game win streak snapped by visiting Chaffey (18-7, 12-1) in a 10-4 loss yesterday afternoon in Palm Desert.
Freshman Travis Tanaka (Honolulu, HI/St. Louis HS) led the Roadrunner offense with three hits and one RBI, while sophomores Cole Danielson (Cathedral City, CA/Cathedral City HS) and Dallas Asuncion (Honolulu, HI/Kalani HS) each collected two hits and one RBI. Freshman Louie Castellanos (Cathedral City, CA/Cathedral City HS) would also record two hits, while drawing one walk, as well.
Dallas Asuncion (2-2) pitched 6.1 innings for the Roadrunners, allowing four runs- one earned- on seven hits. He struck out one and walked three.
College of the Desert baseball will look to even this week's series with Chaffey as they travel to Rancho Cucamonga for a 2:30 p.m. Foothill Conference matchup on Thursday.
