Since helming the program in 2014, Jack Steptoe has led the Roadrunners to three Bowl games. This season, Desert went 6-4 overall and 3-2 in American Division - Metro League play, which was good enough to secure a third-place finish.

COD Football will travel to the Santa Ana Dons on Sunday, November 19 for a 4 p.m. kick off in the 2023 Southern California Bowl.
COD Football punishes the Wildcats on Sophomore Night, 51-20

COD (6-3; 3-1) rolled to their sixth win of the season, making the Roadrunners bowl eligible as the home side took an early lead and never looked back in a lopsided win over the West Los Angeles Wildcats of Culver City (1-8; 1-3), 51-20.
COD Football chases off the Brahmas, 50-28

COD (3-1) had a balanced attack with 471 yards of total offense balanced between passing and rushing as well as a hungry defense which snagged five interceptions, as Desert pushed back the Los Angeles Pierce Brahmas of Woodland Hills (2-2) for their third win of the season, 50-28.
COD Football narrowly escapes the Corsairs, 46-45

COD (2-0) remained undefeated as the Roadrunners piled up over 600 yards of offense, over 400 yards in the air and escaped the clutches of the Santa Monica Corsairs (1-1), 46-45.
COD Football grabs big win on the road, knocks off Vaqueros 33-14

COD (1-0) opened up the 2023 season in a big way, as their defense made huge stops with a balanced offense attack that ground up over 440 yards of total offense and the Roadrunners won big on the road, defeating the Glendale Vaqueros (0-1), 33-14.
