COD Men’s Golf takes 2nd at The S Club, Bogaert & Wang finish 1st

COD Men's Golf participated in their thirteenth event of the 2018 season and the seventh event for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, as the team finished in 2nd place out of 5 teams.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its thirteenth event, which was hosted by College of the Desert at the S Club in Rancho Mirage. Desert would finish in 2nd place with 381 points, just two strokes behind winner, Palomar.

Freshman Joseph Bogaert (Ghent (BE) Sint-Barbara College) led the way for the Roadrunners, medaling in a four-way tie for first with a strong par 72, shared with teammate sophomore Steven Wang (Taipei (TW) Municipal Nei-Hu Senior).

Sophomore Samuel Berglund (Victoria (AUS) Rowville Secondary College) shot 6-over, 78 on the afternoon and freshman Mitchel McComber (Redlands Citrus Valley) finished right behind shooting 7-over followed by freshman Nicklaus Marshall (Bermuda Dunes) shooting 8-over, 80 on the afternoon for the Roadrunners.

Freshman Eric Pizzulli (Old Bridge, NJ) wrapped up the top six for the Roadrunners, shooting a 14-over, 86.

COD will make their next appearance at Sycuan Golf Course on Wednesday, April as they continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) play.
