COD Men’s Golf grabs a second place finish in Banning

COD Men's Golf participated in their fifteenth event of the 2018 season at the ninth event for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, as the team finished in 2nd place out of 5 teams.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its fifteenth event, which was hosted at a neutral location at the Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning. Desert would finish in second place with 387 points, eight strokes behind winner, Palomar.

Sophomore Steven Wang (Taipei (TW) Municipal Nei-Hu Senior) and freshman Clement Heurtin (Nantes (FR) NDTA) led the way for the Roadrunners with a two-over 74.

Freshman Joseph Bogaert (Ghent (BE) Sint-Barbara College) shot a six-over, 78 Sophomore Samuel Berglund (Victoria (AUS) Rowville Secondary College) shot an eight-over, 80.

Freshman Nicklaus Marshall (Bermuda Dunes) and sophomore Bobby Kim (South Korea) both shot a nine-over, 81 to wrap things up for the Roadrunners on the morning.

COD will make their next appearance at the Golf Club at Rancho California in Murrieta on Wednesday, April 18 as they continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) play.
