COD Men's Golf opens PCAC play with 2nd place finish at Rancho Palos Verdes

COD Men's Golf traveled to the 71-par, Los Verdes Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, taking 2nd place out of five teams.

Desert sent six athletes to participate in the first Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match of the 2019 season, finishing second with a total of 398 points, 27 strokes behind the winner, Palomar.

Leading the way for the Roadrunners, sophomore Maxime Faure (Deauville (FR) Lycee Andre Malraux) and freshman Josh Lumgair (Calgary (AB) Academy) both tied for 6th place overall, with a score of 5-over 76.

Sophomore Clement Heurtin (Nantes (FR) NDTA) shot a 7-over 78 and sophomore Michael Choma (La Quinta H.S.) collected a 10-over 81.

Wrapping up the event for Desert, sophomore Jordan Clark (Poway H.S.) shot a 16-over 87, as freshman Bailey Spivak (Palm Desert H.S.) finished close behind with a score of 17-over 88.

COD will make their next appearance at the Soboba Springs Golf Course in San Jacinto for the Mt. San Jacinto Eagle Classic on Friday, March 8th.
