COD Men’s Golf grabs 11th place finish in Riverside

COD Men's Golf had to fend off the elements, as rain fell intermittently throughout the day, as the team finished 11th in the 13-team tournament with Se Min Song collecting a tie for 8th place individual finish for the tournament.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to its third event, the Riverside City Invitational, which was hosted at the historic Victoria Country Club in Riverside. Desert would finish with 409 putting them in 11th place, 2-strokes ahead of the tournament hosts, the Riverside City Tigers.

Leading the way for the Roadrunners in Riverside was sophomore Se Min Song (Haeundae-gu (KOR) Changwon Nam) who shot his best round of the season, a 4-over 76. Sophomore Tyler Cunningham-Watson (Palm Desert H.S.) tied a season best, shooting a 6-over 78. Sophomore Ryln Hadley, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) shot an 83 and sophomore Yuo Torii (Montverde (FL) Montverde Academy) shot an 84. Freshman Jayson Bittner (Rancho Mirage H.S.) tied his second-best score of the season with an 88 and freshman Jacob Stacey (Twentynine Palms H.S.) also shot an 88 to wrap up the event for the Roadrunners.

The next match for the Roadrunners will be on March 4th at 9a, where they will continue Begin Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play by traveling to Bear Valley Country Club in Victorville.
