COD Men's Golf opened up OEC-Inland Division play by collecting a 2nd place finish, with 3 golfers snagging their second-best scores of the season.

The Roadrunners sent six participants to fifth event of the 2023 season, beginning Orange Empire Conference-Inland Division play, which was hosted at the Bear Valley Country Club in Victorville. Desert would finish with 406 points, putting them in 2d place, 6-strokes ahead of the Riverside City Tigers.

Leading the way for the Roadrunners in Victorville was sophomore Se Min Song (Haeundae-gu (KOR) Changwon Nam) who shot a strong 7-over 79, even though he hit a triple bogey on his final hole. Freshman Jacob Stacey (Twentynine Palms H.S.) hit his second-best score of the season, also nailing a strong 7-over 79. Sophomore Yuo Torii (Montverde (FL) Montverde Academy) shot a 9-over 81 and sophomore Ryln Hadley, Jr. (Palm Desert H.S.) shot his second-best score of the season, also shooting an 81. Freshman Jayson Bittner (Rancho Mirage H.S.) shot his second-best score of the season, shooting an 86 and sophomore Tyler Cunningham-Watson (Palm Desert H.S.) shot a 92 to wrap up the event for the Roadrunners.

The next match for the Roadrunners will be on March 4th at 10a, where they will participate in the SoCal Regional Preview at Rio Bravo Country Club in Bakersfield.
