2017 Season in Review - COD Men's Soccer

Under the tutelage of first-year coach Enrique Cardenas, Desert Men's Soccer ended the year with a 7-9-4 overall record and a 7-7-2 conference record. As a reward for their fifth place finish in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, the team was bestowed with three All-Conference honors.

Desert Men's Soccer owes a huge part of their success to first-year head coach, Enrique Cardenas. In his first season with the Roadrunners, Cardenas led the team to a four-game win improvement than last season. Their seven wins is a Desert Men's Soccer best since 2012 where the team finished with a record of 7-7-2 overall.

Freshman midfielder Damian Camacho (Indio H.S.) was named All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. Camacho led the team with four goals and had eight points.

Another player named All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference was freshman midfielder Ramon Felix (Thermal Coachella Valley). He contributed three goals on the season and had 6 points.

Freshman defender Andrassy Teran (La Quinta H.S.) was named the third All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference player. Teran contributed to two game shutouts against Imperial Valley on September 22nd and MiraCosta on October 6th.
