COD Men’s Soccer: Pimentel named PCAC Athlete of the Month

COD Men's Soccer freshman forward Alejandro Pimentel (Thermal Desert Mirage) was named the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference's (PCAC) Male Athlete of the Month for the month of September.

According to the release, issued by PCAC Sports Information Director, Brad Hoiseth, "Pimentel was a big part of the success for Desert in September, helping the Roadrunners finish 3-1-3. He scored seven goals in September, scoring in 5-of-7 games that COD played. Pimentel had multiple goals against both Moorpark (W, 3-0) and Southwestern (T, 2-2) and is currently tied for ninth in the state in goals-scored (9). With Pimentel's contributions, Desert is currently in second place in the PCAC standings, which is the highest they have been since joining the conference."

Pimentel was not the only Roadrunner honored by the PCAC for the month of September as Desert Women's Volleyball sophomore outside hitter Baylie Dashner (La Quinta H.S.) was named the PCAC Female Athlete of the Month and Desert Women's Soccer freshman goal keeper Marqisha Zamudio-Ontiveros (Thermal Coachella Valley) was named Honorable Mention.
