COD Men’s Soccer: Pimentel & Reyes sign letters with CSU Fullerton

COD Men's Soccer forward Alejandro Pimentel (Thermal Desert Mirage) and midfielder Jose Reyes (Cathedral City H.S.) have both signed a letters of intent with California State University, Fullerton.

Pimentel, the 5-5, 125 forward from Desert Mirage H.S. in Thermal, started 19 of 21 games for Desert, winning the IEAC Most Valuable Player award for the 2019 season. Pimentel was 5th in the state in shots taken, with 54 shots, shared the team lead in goals with eight and led the team with five assists. He had a multi-goal game at Southwestern on August 27. This is the second consecutive Conference MVP award for Pimentel, who won the award last season for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-North Division.

Reyes, the 5-9, 170 midfielder from Cathedral City H.S. was named first team all-IEAC, starting in 17 of 19 games and scored the game winning goal at Rio Hondo on September 20.

California State University, Fullerton is located in Fullerton, California. The CSUF Titans play at Titan Stadium and the team is coached by 30-year veteran head coach, George Kuntz. During the 2019 season, the Titans were 3-4 in conference play, with an overall record of 12-7-1. CSUF is in the Big West Conference of the NCAA Division 1.
