COD Men’s Cross Country finishes 27th at SoCal Preview

COD entered their second event of the 2018 season at Don Knabe Community Regional Park in Cerritos for the Southern California Championships Preview Meet, where the team finished 27th overall on the 4-mile course.

The Roadrunners finished with 734 points, grabbing the top spot for Desert in Cerritos was freshman Johnathan Diaz-Reyes (Indio H.S.), collecting a 37th place finish and a time of 21:10.4, dropping his previous best time by 45 seconds.

Freshman Joseph Oropeza (Rancho Mirage H.S.) finished 168th, collecting a time of 26:33.3 and Freshman Andrew Limon (Indio Shadow Hills) crossed the finish line at 28:00.4, dropping 1:22 from his previous best time, well enough for 172nd place.

Sophomore Miguel Espinola (Palm Desert H.S.) wrapped up a 178th place finish with a time of 31:15.5, dropping 2:09 from his previous best time and right on Espinola's heels was freshman Bronn Olson (Palm Desert H.S.), who wrapped up the top five for COD with a time of 32:16.4, finishing in 179th place.

Freshman Guillermo Blanco (Rancho Mirage H.S.) finished 182nd for the Roadrunners on the afternoon.
